One lonely, pitiful looking, frost bitten wild violet.

Still it was nice to see a flower after the long cold winter we had.

Wild Violet

I was surprised to find a few wild violets (Viola papilionacea) blooming on this cold November day.
Some people can call them a weed if they like, but I think they are beautiful.
